Prevent Mildew. The disease most to be feared during this month is powdery mildew. It may appear on ross ,gooseberries , plums and a variety of other plants and fruits . In all cases it covers leaves and stems in a whitish power growth. A preventive, spray with benomyl or dinocap and repeat two weeks later should stop it.
